Operation Bloodhound: Brief

AIS1, your work on Arose means we have a new lead in the Hive City Cyan - Orbon - Kariden System. Your unit is being deployed to coordinate a city wide Intel seize and capture to illuminate the KSO's operations. Your main lead is Qin Industries, the information you retrieved indicates they have some kind of affiliation with the KSO or at least are connected to their local operations.

You will be able to requisition the Aid of each of the other AIS teams deploying with you. You should all be familiarised during the strategy meeting with each team's operational duty. Deployment in 5 days at 0600 hours.

The day before deployment at 1700 hours -

Beyond the Iron doors, inscribed with the phrase: “Words whispered in faith, are still heard by the Emperor” was the mission hall for AIS1. Inside was a crescent  auditorium, formed around a digital strategy table positioned before a wall of screens.

The whole of AIS1 was present, all 36 members, excluding Interrogator Morroe who was now in his official Inquisition uniform standing before the assembled unit. The screens flickered to life and the room fell silent, Morroe’s voice delivered the information with an air of authority.

“AIS1, as you all know two weeks ago, operation Haystack was executed. We were looking for the KSO and as much intel regarding their operations as possible. Of the four teams deployed, AIS 1C was the only team to return with anything useful from a near impossible scenario. The intelligence gathered is as follows…”

Morroe paused briefly to give a knowing nod to a scribe servitor. The screens behind Morroe then turned into a collage of images and statistical data feeds.

“The KSO have begun developing a new form of combat vehicle. While we have only encountered one, the Spectre, we feel we should be prepared for an array of vehicles with a similar capacity. These vehicles run on Warp energy making them rare and easier to track for some, but equally dangerous for all. Lt. Morning reports the destabilisation of these warp engines could cause catastrophic results and be extremely dangerous, not just for the operating team but also for nearby bystanders. If you encounter a KSO warp vehicle in the field, dispatch the operating team and/or use haywire grenades to subdue the vehicle. The Spectre commandeered by AIS 1C has been retro-fitted with plasma engines and generators, thanks to Lt. Morning and our resident Mechanics representatives. This vehicle has been dubbed the Hurricane Class: Imperial Landspeeder.

We have also learnt that the KSO has a connection to the Qin family of Orbon, the owners of the multi-billion dollar Pharmaceutical Industry giant, Qin Industries. The little information gathered from the data extracted from the KSO digital hub on Arose suggest they have an off books operation somewhere on Orbon in the Cyan Hive city.

Unfortunately, due to extraordinary circumstances, this is all the information we have. The KSO are preparing for something, the information we have certifies that much, we just need to know, who, what, where, when and how. AIS 1C, Inquisitor Ivan is keeping your team on point. 1A: Grim Stalkers, your dirt side too on over watch. 1E Sky Seekers and 1F Bull Bars your on Transport and Extraction, 1B Shepherds and 1D Blackout, your on clean up.

Orbon contacts have informed us that the KSO are spooked after the unsuccessful evac on Arose. So we are landing with the expectation that they are on ghost protocol. We need to catch the scent and chase it before we lose it again, making Haystack pointless. Deployment tomorrow at 0600 hours: route out the heretic, discover his treachery and end it all. Dismissed.”
