Ring of Steel - Knowledge Uncovered

This will be a general post to collect all of the information that you guys have discovered in going through the Ring of Steel and the Dark Mechanicus facility that is currently occupied by the denizens of Lark. Feel free to add your own findings and musings.

Regarding the "Avatar" that was housed in the facility, which Fariad identified as a Titan:

- specifications listed as approximately 25 metres tall (out of game knowledge, slighter taller than a Reaver/Ravager titan)
- it was "implanted" with an entity drawn forth from the Warp through the other prototype engine/device
- Armament:
- one laser-based weapon located on its left arm (out of game knowledge, Volcano Cannon)
- one close combat power weapon on its right arm, designated as a Titan Power Claw
- one chassis-mounted weapon, described as a medium-range clearance weapon (out of game knowledge, Inferno Gun aka a Titan-grade flamer)

According to timestamps in the databases that Fariad was able to decipher, the lockdown of the facility went into effect approximately 900 years ago. Is this backed up by the printed out datasheets that Amon located?

Yep that's right. The current date is approximately May 41.092 and the lockdown/quarantine happened around 40.110. 900 years was only an approximation but it hasn't been a full millennium yet (close though, 982 years have passed).

That should align things roughly with the current date being only a month or two after the commencement of the Sothis/Chryos guard game.

Seems legit! The [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] has the Chryos Guard game starting in March of 092, so I've added that the Black Crusade game (BC M&M) also started in March (late March, I figure). I've also added that the current BC game Ring of Steel is in about May 092, probably late May. Does that look about right?

Looks good to me. I'll add some more detail regarding what else has been found at the Ring of Steel and what is the current situation.

Here is the current situation at the Ring of Steel:

- In addition to the party, there are currently 940 Khorne warriors patrolling and hooning around the outside of the facility. They have not gone ballistic just yet after the fight in the hangar.
- It appears the entire population of Lark now resides within the accommodations of the facility and are constructing a series of steel frames in the central area of the facility.
- The Hangar, Accommodations, and the Main buildings have all been accessed in a fashion and Fariad now has access to remotely unlocking various parts of the facility. The entrance to the lower catacombs of the facility is still sealed shut.
- Sattar, the space marine from the Black Legion and former compatriot of Darius, has travelled with the Larkians and now resides in the facility. He is currently assisting Fariad in opening up the facility.
- A Daemonified tech priest of the Dark Mechanicus appears to be one of the original inhabitants of the Ring of Steel and serves "the Master". It is willing to assist the party.
- The Ring of Steel has been abandoned and quarantined ever since the incident approximately 900 years ago.
- The quarantine of the facility is still in place however Fariad now has control of the missile defence system. The binary vox warning broadcast is still active.
- The Hangar houses three freighter shuttles and three small transport shuttles. These vessels are void-capable but do not appear to possess Warp drives. The servitors that Darius brought over from the Silent Mountain are currently revitalising these neglected machines and getting them ready for flight.
- The Spireguard Land Raider, the purchased Rhino, and the Daemon Engine Predator Tank named Hank are all currently parked outside of the Accommodations building. The Slaaneshi drivers are a little uneasy with the monstrous unicorn tank.
