Re: Missions Undertaken
Updated as of game on 08/02/2015. Thoroughly destroyed the daemon and whatever had happened on that train and prevented a potential catastrophe all for the low, low cost of 1,000 civilians.
For reference, I've considered the different options and am now considering that the Chaos Spawn as shown in the DH 2E book to be a newly formed and thus a weakened/baby version. A fully-fledged killing machine that is what most of us consider to be a Chaos Spawn is shown in the OW Enemies of the Imperium and if you all encounter one like that I will be using those stats.

Re: Missions Undertaken
I was suprised that no one challenged Aurigan we he said blow up the train. I still think it was the best course of action but at the same time, no one, not the Arbite, not the psyker not even the Doctor said "is there another way?". The mechanicus assassin did what I expected.

Re: Missions Undertaken
Kaliya didn't LIKE the idea of blowing up the train, but she could see the logic in it. She's seen first-hand what this plague crap can do, she does NOT want to see it spreading at all. If she'd been able to think of something better than blowing up the train, she woulda suggested it. As it was though, she couldn't think of anything better, so she kept her mouth shut.
Besides - she's a pragmatic Arbites who doesn't like people much. XD As far as she's concerned, EVERYBODY is guilty of SOMETHING. If people have to die to better serve the Imperium as a whole, so be it.

Re: Missions Undertaken
Well I suppose that's why we were picked for this particular Inquisition Warband. Least Kaliya is pragmatic, she shares that with Aurigan. Good to know the other characters saw the merit in the hard decision Aurigan had to make.

To be honest, bast on what we have seen so far - L3 literally considered it a mercy.

Re: Missions Undertaken
It's also the case of how a little application of an Inquisitorial order goes a long to making people obey you without question.
Re: Missions Undertaken
I'm well aware of the gravity acosiated with the inquisitorial seal. I mean between PC characters, Aurigan was/ still is a commissar. Doesnt like making those calls as no one with a conscience would, but it was nessasary, and even more so when we realised we couldn't get to them in time. In hind sight, I realised Aurigan made the call to end 1000 civilian lives, no one bat an eye, not even a whisper. But like everyone has pointed out, we are facing a unique and extremely dangerous enemy.

Re: Missions Undertaken
Updated as of the game on 01/03/2015. The acolytes have taken their investigation off Vandor II and are currently docked at the Forge World of Caracalla and are on their way to the Penal World of Rugira.
Re: Missions Undertaken
Updated as of the game on 22/03/2015. The acolytes ventured to the Penal World Rugira to investigate the usage of contaminated fertiliser in mining. Suffice to say that the problem has been dealt with.
Re: Missions Undertaken
Very definitively dealt with! XD

Updated as of games on 17/05/2015 and 22/05/2015. The acolytes were subjected to a full-scale cataclysm on the surface of Rugira and the Sextus Station. They then travelled to Vandor II to reconvene with Inquisitor Baltasar and investigate the outbreak of plague in Hive Justinian.
