Marvel's Antman
EW takes a Magnifying glass to Ant Man!
Personally, I like the suit.

Re: Marvel's Antman
Yeah.....no. Nope. Na-da. Not for me.
Wasn't interested when I first heard about it, still not interested. The trailer was done well - in that it 95% misdirects you so that it could be any generic action/adventure/superhero origin story and not about a tiny man riding a bug Ferngully style. Which I think is a good way to get non-Marvel fans or people not sure about it to go see the movie. Which is a pretty common marketing move, but Marvel hasn't really had to do that with their films so far. They've always been pretty clear about - "It's called Iron Man, this is Iron Man, and this is the bad guy Iron man will fight. That's it. That's the movie."
But it just didn't have that whole "AWW MAH GAWD NEW MARVEL MOVIE" vibe to it. I do trust Marvel though, and while not every single MCU movie has been the most mind-blowing cinematic experience ever, they've all been really good, and a lot of die-hard Avenger's fans wanted Ant-Man in some form so I'm sure it will do well regardless.
Though Michael's Douglas as Hank Pam is pretty neat. I'd probably like it more if it was him narrating his time as the Ant-Man, moreso than Scott Lang's story.
The main thing I don't like, (and it's for shallow reasons, I admit that) is Evangeline Lilly as Hope Van Dyne. Firstly I just outright prefer Janet Van Dyne as my Wasp, but I also just can't stand Lilly. Not sure why but she's always bugged me and now she is either/or will soon become Wasp and that makes me all sad panda.
And also, WHERE THE FRIK FRAK PADDIE WAK IS MY DARN BLACK WIDOW MOVIE! >.< Those ballerinas in AoU trailer had better be related to Tash's background or I am going to fangirl rage so damn hard.

Re: Marvel's Antman
Black Widow isn't getting a solo from what I understand, but she IS appearing in about 3 of the Phase 3 movies.
I'm guessing: Civil War, Black Panther... maybe Captain Marvel?
RUMOR: If the Sony/Marvel deal goes ahead she may be one of the characters loaned out to a new Spidey movie.

I really like the idea of using Scott instead of Hank for the films, even though I prefer Hanks character (original is Best right?)

I just don't understand why no Black Widow movies. I mean we get freaking ANTMAN but no Widow! We got some awesome glimpses into her character in CA:WS and there is so much to Natasha! And especially now with Wasp and Scarlet Witch/Wanda they've got everything they need for her origin story. *sigh* I guess I'll just have to make do with 'Lucy' for now. It's as close as i'll get.
Captain Marvel pfftt. it's MS MARVEL. There is nothing wrong with femininity.
*gathers her Black Widow and Ms Marvel comics* If you need me i'l be in my corner sulking while reading about under underappreciated kick ass female characters. *grumble grumble*
P.S - The antman suit does look pretty nifty though

It's just the continuing story of Carol Danvers. And it rocks.
