Mission 5 Brief:

Objective: *PRIORITY ALERT* Scout Team Beta has come under heavy fire from a considerable Ork force. They are surrounded and trapped within dense jungle terrain, at a suspected Archeo-site. The squad reports injuries but no deaths.
You will be deploying via assault pack into an ongoing battle against a numerically superior force, coordinates [redacted]

Apothecary Nikkos is being deployed with you for expected medicae support.

Mission 5 Debrief:

Objective: Deep strike into a hostile fire-zone and assist in the extraction of Scout Team Beta. Location [redacted]. Orkoids are present in critical numbers. Apothecary Nikkos and Techmarine Rainer were attached to the unit for this mission.
Critical Parameter: Protecting the Future of the Chapters: Extract the Scout team.
Optional Parameter: Open War: Everything is a target.

The Astartes Team [Identify Designate: Quill and Dagger] was successfully deployed into the fire-zone and were able to locate and extract Scout Team Beta from the immediate threat. Location [redacted]

Quill and Dagger then proceeded due south, engaging in a sustained hit-and-fade engagement for approx 40km through dense jungle terrain.

Due to the nature of the enemies advance, Quill and Dagger split off from Scout Team Beta to run as interference. This action was successful, allowing Team Beta (with Apothecary Nikkos) to reach the southern coastline for extraction. Location [redacted]

Quill and Dagger penetrated the Orkoid war front and engaged in sabotage actions en-route to their own extraction. Comprehensive Intel was collected, and priority enemy artillery was destroyed. An archeotec relic was also recovered. (Identified as a Crassius Class Transport).

HANDLERS NOTE
Is there a problem with the communicae I send? Does NO ONE read the dossiers of the team members assigned to 'Quill and Dagger'? NOT A SINGLE Astartes in this unit is jump pack qualified. None of them. We risked the very survival of the unit by executing a low drop insertion like that. Techmarine Rainer hadn't even been planet-side for an hour. He almost didn't SURVIVE that first hour.

The sheer scale of the Orkish war front is concerning. A system wide alert has been dispatched to all Imperial Forces. Why they are marching on the southern coast is a mystery that demands investigation. Recommend we send in the [redacted] to clarify the matter.

WHAT IN THE WARP is with this units tendency towards falling out of, off of, or into things? The regularity that 'Quill and Dagger' engages in a direct free-fall descent culminating in a full-body halt beggars belief. While amusing on some levels, the mission success was once again threatened by the stubborn defiance of certain universal laws.
