Hey'all!

I just watched A New Hope with my 12yr old niece. She has never seen it, or any other Star Wars movie before.
So I was very curious to see what she thought about it.

Good news! She enjoyed it! A lot! Very Happy

I asked her what her favorite parts where, and she gave me seven. They were:

1) C3PO is always over-reacting and blaming R2D2
2) Chewbacca being scared of the trash compacter monster. Bashing on the door to get out.
3) Chewbacca then hiding down the hallway afterwards. "Shaking his head to say no no no no no"
4) They way Leia was so sassy.
5) Luke tapping his helmet-coms when Obi-Won starts speaking in his mind. "What the heck is that? Am I crazy now"
6) When C3P0 told off R2 for swearing.
7) When Han Solo chased the stormtroopers down the hallway, found a whole room of them, and then had to run away again.

Favorite characters: Chewbacca and C3P0.
(She has abducted my plushie wookie. She makes it dance.)

Next week, she wants to watch Empire Strikes Back!

I just told her to go to bed, and she did the Jedi-wave and said:

"I don't have to go to bed yet"

I played along. How could I not? Very Happy

Victory!

We bought the blu-ray collection of the movies plus the Clone Wars movie and watched them over a few Saturdays. So far the boys are totally mad about Star Wars in general and the girls really enjoyed the movies but don't like the Clone Wars TV series.

luke is my favorite character...mainly because when handed a weapon, he points the dangerous end directly at his face
