It is with great pride that I, Captain Voltaren of the Knights Tempest 4th Company, with the full support of Chapter Master Kharreg, announce that former neophyte Kevian Lance has accepted a personal calling from Lord Tarn to join him in the founding of a new Astartes Chapter.

Let it be known and recorded that Brother Kevian Lance has been granted absolution of duty, oaths, and heraldry to the Knights Tempest.
No mark of dishonor shall be held against him. No taint of malice in this absolution. For as he leaves our halls to swear new allegiance to Lord Tarn,
he takes our legacy and glory with him.

By this action, this re-dedication to duty in the name of a new founding, the Knights Tempest can proudly claim that one of our own has played a
part in the rebirth of legend. Of history itself.

If there is anyway to assist in reclaiming wargear and equipment not previously pledged that would

Amari? If you have any spare scribes or Lexicanium adepts, Brother Lance is going to need some help with accords, records, rosters, and general
matters of accumen. Probably about a 094.02. And by some help, I mean a hell of a lot. His handwriting is so poor it almost counts as a cypher.

Gabriel? Gonna have to call in a favor, and probably owe you two. Brother Lance will need some insight on how to build units under duress.
He has a lot to learn, and fast.

Lord Tarn has expressed interest in meeting with all of us informally soon... I'll delay that until 93.08 if I can.

Pass my sincere congratulations on to Brother Lance. From what I have heard about him so far, he should do well.

...As long as he doesn't get overwhelmed and smothered by the sheer number of hats, anyway.

Assistance in wargear reclamation is basically a given, of course. It wouldn't do at all to have a new chapter running around naked.

I should be able to spare a decent number of scribes for the War Dogs. Lexicanium, however, is another matter entirely, I'm afraid. The best I can do in that area, apart from the occasional short-term loan, is offer training to any psychically-capable recruits that the War Dogs may end up with.

I look forward to that meeting, it should be rather enlightening. I might even bring some of that wine I keep telling you about... just as long as you're not planning on playing any Stragium with Gabriel during said meeting. I wouldn't want to hinder your game, after all.

We may aid in training new battle brothers.
But with all do respect Captain, Entrusting the training of an entire generation of recruits to one Initiate is not codex tradition for good reason, and titles aside Lance is but an Initiate.

I have not met the boy, but i have read his file and trust in impressions of my Sargent's. He will make a great leader, one day, but an Exemplary mentor he is not.

If it were me, I would have him trained and mentored. Forged in the cauldron of war into someone who can lead, and in the meantime, find my self a Master of recruits.

You would be wise to search your chapter for a scout Sargent in line for captaincy of the 10th. Trust in the Codex, your Primarch is wiser than us all.

You will have time to tutor Lance into a master of warcraft. A General, Strategist and Politician in equal measure. the rest can be delegated. Push him hard, harder then the rest.

Only in the greatest heat heat can true Steal be forged.

The Blood Ravens support this Initiative, and will prepare proper Tribute when the time is right.

Also, if Lord Taarn requires enlightenment on imperial history, He is welcome to seek council with our Ordo Psykana forces stationed on Zieth. As is true with our Shadowed Sun Loremasters.

My Lord Angelos

I understand and appreciate with your insight regarding Brother Lance, however I must reiterate that he is indeed a
full Brother, no longer an Initiate both by virtue of action and by standards of the Codex itself. His ascendancy was
neither accelerated nor forced. If anything it is a year overdue by dint of caution.

He is also no longer a Knights Tempest. Brother Lance of the War Dogs Chapter no longer answers to me, or any of us,
but sincerely seeks our assistance in some matters. Lord Tarn, one-day-to-be-called Chapter Master Tarn (Or 'Pack Lord' I believe) sees great potential in the lad, as did we. He also has a great and deep wisdom in the art of war and insists that Brother Lance continues to experience combat first hand until he, and only he, judges him worthy of an Officers Mantle. Until then almost all of his titles have the honorific "in Disciplina".

So in short, I and my staff agree with you Lord Angelos. Lord Tarn's thinking is similar, but of a more golden-era mindset.
Lord Tarn is also dealing with "this new universe" with the approach and temperament as you expect of a World Eater. Truly, his thinking is oft as alien as the xenos.

If any of you have the opportunity to speak with Lord Tarn I recommend it, but be aware he possesses a staggering persona and has looked up the face of our Living Emperor and recalls it clearly. Be wary. Be wise.

My council shall be forwarded to Commander Tarn, as he is newly awoken council he will need.

As to whether or not he heeds it, indeed that is his own prerogative.

The opportunity to speak with those that walked in the emperors light is not one to ever be wasted, and when the time is right, and Commander Tarn is more... established with our age, i will seek personal audience.

I have been told stories from those who have been in such encounters before, and understand them to be.. Most Enlightening.

Until then, i shall have Commander Tarn know the Blood Ravens stand as his Brothers, should he request it. And when he is prepared, we have many secrets we would share with him. Secrets a Chapter Master must know.
