Mission 6 Brief:

Objective: Assault a rebellious Nobles command headquarters. Kill him, his staff, all who abide in his headquarters. Let none escape.
Critical Parameter: Let none escape.
Optional Parameter: Knowledge is Power. Any further documentation or proof of plans/allies will be beneficial to Imperial Operations.

** PRIORITY UPDATE**
Intel has confirmed the traitor Orfion has recently recalled his elite bodyguard cadre, approximately 25 in number. Consider these soldiers as a viable threat.
Investigations also suggest internal fortifications have been installed within the last year, and recon reports any access via sewers, maintenance shafts, and ventilation has been sealed and alarmed.

Contact with other traitor forces such as the 'Heralds' has to be assumed. What degree of assistance they may have lent them is unknown.

Finally the below is the most usable image retrievable from a destroyed recon-servo-skull squadron that made it into the lower halls of the palace, but was brought down as they escaped. Only through the actions of the independent operator [redacted] were we able to retrieve even this:

Permission to assemble a full squad has been granted. Liaise with Lord Kathay regarding this.

The noble 'lord' Clarius Orfion has been identified as the spider at the center of the rebellious web.
A certain Commissar Lax of the 13th Chryos Regiment; 1st company, was able to piece together a trail of blockade evading exports that have made this Orfion very rich. Since he and his house have been able to finance their traitorous ambitions through this, it is only fitting his fate be sealed by it.

Recon Team 'Quill and Dagger' is re-designated to 'Kill Team Starfish' until further notice. They have full clearance relevant to this designation.

Kill Team Starfish shall insert via drop pod into the upper courtyard of House Orfion's palace. Kill all that are found within. Let no traitor survive. Let the Emperor's light scour every corner.

At least this time we're not the ones having to actually steer the sky-falling with what basically amounts to explosives strapped to our backs. The only ones who can mess THIS landing up are the people launching the drop pod - and if THAT happens, well...

... they'll probably find a way to blame us anyway.

... Lance, that was a seriously impressive string of expletives. Were some of those words Orkish?

To utilise an orbital deep strike for maximum effect requires instinct.

I fully intend to guide us in personally.

We will require base schematics, as well as those of any nearby subterranean utilities they may be able to escape via.

Seal them in, then cleanse them. By the codex, shall we brothers?

My sentiments precisely.

I recommend Full squad load out of Melta bombs.

Brother Lance, you are our best shooter, we would benefit from the largest gun you can get

Command, can we expect any additional support? Can any more of our brothers be spared to this?

Ash, your ability's are without question, but I would recommend you load up on firepower for this mission.

Our foe is cunning brothers, remember: There is but one way to outsmart a Traitor Marines plans.

Kill him.

Just as long as I am not the one driving the drop pod. I get the feeling that would not end well.

Levity aside - Melta and/or plasma, for certain. Various grenades and other demolitions would also probably come in handy. Heavy weapons as well, if we can get them. While I'm at it, let us also consider the option of Imperial artillery, if that is a possibility. I have heard good things about the Chryos regiments.

Apart from blueprints and schematics of the target zone, what other intel do we have available? Loadouts, specialities and training of the elite bodyguard?

Brother Lance - I have many ideas of what that image could represent, and none of them are good. I will need to meditate on this.

I shall be equipping a full Tactical Kill Team load-out for this mission.

It is likely that some of us may not return from this mission, such is the severity. I intend to secure a Narthecium, to mitigate this possibility.

Standard Issue:
- Power Armour
- Bolt Pistol
- Combat Knife
- Grenades (3 frag, 3 Krack)
- 1 Clip of Kraken Bolts.
- Meltabomb
Requisitioned:
- Combi-Melta with Red Dot Sight.
- Plasma Pistol with Red Dot Sight.
- Blind Grenades
- Narthecium

Brother Ash, if you are able to requisition extra explosives, i feel we may need them.

HANDLERS NOTE
Well... that went straight into the abyss. I've been handler for over 300 missions, never have I witnessed a complete blow-out like that. Thrice-accursed-Emperor-damned-[redacted]. Nothing in our intel suggested that level of corruption. Ties to the Heralds of Change we knew of, but this is an unacceptable oversight. My request for field operations has been submitted. Brother Purion shall be taking over 'Starfish' handling duties for the foreseeable future.


Final notes:
The rooftop party was unfortunate. While cleaning house is good, wiping the entire upper tier of a Governor's noble court never plays out well in the short mid term.

The previous point is redundant now. 80% of the ruling class abides in the current 10 block exclusion zone. Those unaffected by the [redacted] will be relocated for observation. They MAY yet return, but it is unlikely. The current Governor was not present at the time, but given the rampant corruption and taint withing his council, his days of ruler-ship are numbered. Most probable outcome is the unaffected and most notably capable will be assembled into an emergency council, led by an externally appointed Acting Governor. Probably someone pulled from Baharen or Chryos itself, supplemented by their own cadre.

Manufactured Spawn? Someone is trying that again? Of all the foolish pursuits. The Deathwatch have been informed. If we have another Flesh-Crafter cult springing up, it needs to be put-down. Fast.
Contacting Agent Eyde for probable leads on that. Her pet Commissar may be useful once again.

'Starfish' has once again proved to be a formidable unit. It's as if we have our own Deathwatch team on standby. The addition of Techmarine Rainer is invaluable. Recommend the continued use of 'Starfish' off-world.

Lord Taarn has re-assigned War Dog Brother Lance to ongoing front-line support for the Chryos 13th, 1st Company. He will need large scale engagement experience if he is to one day become an officer. Recommend that all Chapters involved be asked for another volunteer to fill the void in 'Starfish' roster. Perhaps even a full squad.

Lord Taarn may be getting a man-power boost sooner than expected. With so many citizens falling to the [redacted] vision of madness, there will be a considerable influx of fresh servitors. A number not seen since the Xialla Revolution was crushed. This new workforce will be offered to all the contributing factions in this pacification.

The Chryos 1st Company Air Support made a good take-down on the last hostile Valkyrie. No survivors.

Addendum 1: Both combat and worker model servitors will be available.
Addendum 2: The manufactured Spawn is still unaccounted for.
Addendum 3: Three more Companies of the Chryos 13th are making planet fall. Victory is merely a formality now.
